The New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults!

I’m so excited to share that TONIGHT, I BURN is a finalist for The New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults - Young Adult Fiction Award. I’m honestly blown away and so very grateful to everyone at Moa Press and Hachette NZ for launching Penny’s story out across New Zealand. 🤩🤩🤩 The shortlist is full of incredible books - a great shopping list for your next trip to the bookstore or library!

When I first found out my little queer book about witches, Death, and sisterbonds had made the shortlist, I was floored. I’m so honoured that it’s been recognised and is elbow to elbow with such wonderful books — and in Pride month too! 🌈

If you haven’t read Penny’s story yet, it’s available everywhere good books are sold!
